I'm going to log what music I like to burn to here. You should so so as well.

I don't tend to like lots of normal techno types of things. The music that first comes to mind is:

Holy Fuck
Irepress (boston local - lots of rapid tempo/timing changes)
Modest Mouse - Invisible

I'll get some more going when I listen to some more music.

SHPONGLE!!!!!!! (younger brother)
-If you like earthy, fiery music that shapes choreography and performances on its own, then you must have a listen. Yes its electronic, but very different. With recordings from all over the world, all different cultures, and each song swithcing up the tempo, builds and BPM so you feel like the music is taking you on an adventure. I recommend highly to have a listen to

'Dorset Perception'
'Around the World in a T Daze'
'Divine Moments of Truth'
'Bejaflore'
'Monster Hit'
'The Seventh Revelation'
'Star Shpongled Banner'
'The Receptive'

Other that eclectic electronic music I love rock.

TOOL! - but of course, KARNIVOOL! - I love too much msuic to write it all, but these are my favs.....oh and OTT is pretty sweet as well

i mostly use tribal african drums to spin to, mostly because we have lots of drummers with us then performing

No hip-hop spinners?
Aesop Rock- good beat, tempo changes, change-up's, can spin to the lyrics, or the beat and switch it up.

Techno is alright too and some dub or reggae. Some rock, metallica, classical music, or whatever...

i love spinning to hip hop and breaks.. rock songs are too repetitive all music is amazing tho .. as long as you can feel the music depends on the person i guess

I like Tool and Rage against the machine..... always looking for new and different stuff. Also like Jamiroquai like above.
