Dogs like Poi
During the daytime I work at a Dog Daycare... The dogs love when I pull out my poi balls and start spinning. It's really funny to see how excited they get thinking they can catch the poi-and when it (lightly) smacks them on the head when they try to catch it (I spin slowly with them) they shake their head and then get really excited and try to go after them ever harder... It's good practice and teaches me control since I have about 7 or 8 of them going for both poi balls at the same time.

That is awesome. My cat couldn't care less about me spinning, but my roommates cat loves to watch me from his cat scratch. His head bobs all over the place trying to follow. Hehe.

My poor dog runs far, far away when I break out the poi, hoops or staff... Probably mostly due to the early days of my hooping practice--they would fly everywhere! She'd have to duck and cover often.... So reading this was a bit surprising!

Thats awesome! I got a pair of flag poi & my cat luves chasing the tails. He'll lay on the floor or a couch & I'll do slow moves & drag them over his face...he goes crazy but I'm careful cuz his nails catch!! When I get it really goin tho he watches me or I watch I dont hit him!! Gotta luv pets & poi play!!
