Hi I'm Zomby, (aka Cliff). I'm 47 and I'm from Muskogee, OK USA and I love to try and spin poi. For whatever reason it takes me a very long time to master anything. It took me a month to learn a 3 beat weave, (which I finally learned from watching Nick's video on YouTube), but I love doing it and it's a lot of fun.

I saw a guy doing poi at a place called Camp Zoe in Missouri and it was mesmerizing so I bought a pair and started bashing myself in the head and in the "berries" :). My next thing is the reverse weave, thanks Zander, and so far I've only hit myself in the head once.

I will say that if anyone has any links to more videos or tips or anything please feel free to send them my way. We're going back to Zoe in 3 weeks and I'm hoping to not embarrass myself too much.

Anyway, it's good to be here and thanks for having me.

Z

Hi! I am Jorjo. I am into the fire/glow arts for some years now. I recently moved to the north of Germany and still looking for people over here to set the night on fire. I recogniced that the community here is dominated by people from overseas, which is fine, cause i like to travell when ever i can ;) Anyways, maybe there will join some fireartists from about my region in the future so i will keep my eyes open.
Unfortunately i cant share recent videos of me cause i lost my videocam quite a while ago on a snowboarding trip.
I might add some photos or old clips but till then i enjoy to have a look around and get some impressions of all your beatifull stuff! Thx for that ;)
So long&keep it hot! Jorjo

Hi all!! I'm Nikki, also known as Muze. I'm 28 years old, and have been dancing/spinning glow for about 10 years. I was part of 1 troupe that did fire performance in Augusta, GA, but I have been part of several different performance troupes, including dance & acting. I am a wife, a submissive-sadomasochis (more on the masochistic side) & one of the few (if not the only) epileptics I know that takes part in the light arts. (Don't freek people, my epilepsy is well controlled & I don't have Grand Mal Epilepsy, only complex partial)

I love my poi (glow & fire), but I'm still rusty from years of not practicing, & I'm working on my fans & staff, as well as hoop dance. I live in the very beautiful, but very boring Upstate of South Carolina, USA. I have more fire implements than I'll ever use in my lifetime, but they're nice to have. I am only a backyard spinner & I do not ever plan on being a performance artist in a professional sense.

I also have an affection for pudding & music.

Hey all! I'm Mandy and live in North NJ...very close to NYC. Just started spinning about a year ago and haven't had much practice. I'm hoping to this summer though there aren't many spinners in my area.

Much love!

Hey, I'm James. I've been spinning poi seriously for about 5 months, so I look like a BIG newbie when spinning, but it's a great time. I'm a visual artist as well.

Sorry I made a separate thread introducing myself, as I didn't see this one.

I saw Nick's YouTube vids and it brought me here. The vids are crystal clear and easy to follow, too.

If anyone is in the Kentucky/southern Indiana area, let's spin.

Go hoop girl go!! I think hoop is beautiful! I do ok with my hoop, but I'm trying to concentrate on my fans more myself. I know how hard hoop is, so I really admire the pretty & dedicated hoop girls!! What size hoop do you have? I have a 4 foot & a 6 foot, but I'm only 5'2", so I use the 4 foot more, :)

Hey! I just joined the fire garden. I'm in New Orleans and would love to hang out with a fellow spinner!

hello!
I live in New Orleans- looking for other fire dancers.
I've been spinning since '06
Now I'm teaching myself hoop and double staff
I can't even focus on work anymore because I've become so obsessed with fire toys.
Ideally, I will just transition from visual artist to performance artist... but I'm not sure
how to go about making that happen. For now, I suppose I'll just keep practicing and
eventually go on the street and see how people respond.

It's really hot here but good weather for poi.
I just started and I love it. I also want to learn fire eating
and spitting. Fleshing looks cool too.
