I have been hooping for almost 3 years now and I have played around with all types of sizing, weights and so on

I use a 3/4 inch, 160 psi, 40.5 in diameter. I am tall, this is what I am most comfortable with.

What are you other hoopers using?

I prefer about 125psi or maybe a little heavier and like the diameter to be the distance from my belly button to the ground. Haven't thought much about what size i like the diameter of my tube to be but 3/4in sounds good.

I have just made 2 hoops that are 37 inches which are perfect but Im going to make a couple more around 35inches to see how they are,I really like the pace with the smaller hoops.
My 1st hoop was 40inches and now I just find it slow, but also great for learning on.
As for the psi?? what is this?? all I know is that my tubing is 25mm. :)

How tall are you? you must like speed then, to have that size of hoop :) i had a harder time with upper body stuff with smaller hoops.
psi - is basically the thickness of the tubing. smaller psi hoops are lighter and much more flexible. higher psi are heavier and easier for me.

must be different because we are in different countries.
speed is fun, especially when it's on fire

I prefer 33-34" in diameter, with 1/2 in tubing.... I'm not quite 5'4" and very "little", ha--so it may seem like a tiny hoop, but it works well for me.

I might also add... for FIRE hooping--I have a 35" in diameter, Featherlight hoop from Cosmic Fire.

33-34 wow that's small, but i bet the speed is amazing
i am 5'11" so i need my bigger hoops
my fire hoop is a 38" and from spinsterz, heavy as hell and i love it.

i would like to try a light one sometime i bet there is a lot more you can do with them

3/4th inch, 160psi, 46in diameter.

I'm tall, I'm also quite large in circumference.

Learned w/ 1" 100psi hoop...54in in diameter! (lil big in my opinon but it was a gift & I'm 5'9"). Downgraded 2 smaller pretty quickly. I could do tricks w/ mine but it was a lil crazy &unneccesary! Started making hoops outa 1" 100. Now I make 3 kinds: 1" 100, 1" 160, & 3/4" 100. I still will use 1" 100 but my led's 3/4" 100 & my fire hoops 3/4" 160. I can use anything but I like 3/4" 100 or 160 & 36in diameter.
