Does anyone use this tool? I got one for my birthday and have found very very few resources to learn more about it. If anyone could lend me some tips that would be great! Maybe the tool just isn't all that versatile, figure 8s, wraps, etc.

the guy's video on trick concepts, sil3nce or something? don't remember. he's good but i am looking for a little bit more instruction or video where you can really see what's going where.

It looks quite similar to the concept of the flow-wand by Flowtoys, which is known on Salza.se as Levistick. There's various vids on Youtube of various people doing flow-wand and levistick.
