The Fire Garden Site Rules

The following rules exist for the good of the community.

Rule 1) The Fire Garden is an English speaking community, please help us keep it that way. English is the most commonly learned second language and doing so will ensure that nobody is left out of our discussions.

 

Rule 34) Nudity and sexually explicit material are not permitted at The Fire Garden. That said, we are an artistic bunch and sometimes nudity happens. Artistic nudity may be permitted at the moderators discretion.

 

Rule 3) Abusive, racist or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated at The Fire Garden and will result in a ban. Members will receive only one strike.

 

Rule 4) Improper use of The Fire Garden will result in a ban. Please report anything strange to a moderator. This includes unrelated networking, spamming and trolling. Profile pages are not intended to be used for groups or troupes (the clubs section can be used instead). We want to meet you as individuals! Nicknames are allowed.

 

Rule 5) Advertising: Many of us creative people run businesses or perform or are involved in projects, but we ask you to leave your advertising at the door. This is not the place! We want to meet you as a person without the pressure of being marketed to. We encourage you to share the link to your site on your profile and spend some time telling us about what you do in the "about me" box, but using your profile or blog for further advertising is not permitted. This will be left to the moderators discretion. Advertising videos or photos are not permitted.

Rule 6) Unnecessary / inappropriate linking will result in your post being deleted. Mainly aimed at the forum. Linking to material in another location through laziness or to express a specific opinion is not permitted. Do not send other members on a goose chase in order to follow the current conversation.

Rule 7) Dangerous / incorrect safety information will be removed. If in doubt, state that you are unsure and suggest readers look for further information.

Rule 8) The Marketplace is not for trade. Only personal / homemade items may be sold in the marketplace. Business listings will be removed. If you are interested in promoting / selling your products through The Fire Garden, please contact Nick Nomad by private message.

Rule 9) The Fire Garden is a non-competitive community. Encouraging negative competitions, battles or any other event intended to rank one person more superior than another is not allowed. Related content will be removed.

The moderators cannot be everywhere at once! Please feel free to reference or link to these rules at any point.
