I have not. I'm just learning and started with those and then moved to sock poi which have a much nicer weight. The poi I have are glow balls in a mesh net so I am not sure how sand bags would work.…

How did you first get into fire / glow arts, and how long have you been involved?
I used to try to glowstick at raves (never really new what I was doing) and decided recently to learn poi as I don't rave anywhere near as much as I used to. I hope to be spinning fire by my next birthday.
Tell us about your life outside of fire / glow arts...
I'm a graphic design student/ body piercer with a love for all things beautiful. In addition, I'm an avid cyclist, riding about 100 miles/ week in the winter and 300 miles/week during the summer. If you want to know anything else, just ask.
