Hello. If you are asking about the new fire hoops I make, then It varies depending on what your specifications are. Since I do different weights, sizes, wick sizes, etc. the prices are different; but on average about $125-$150. I will beat any price…

How did you first get into fire / glow arts, and how long have you been involved?
I think I was drawn to the mathematical precision and beautiful spirals of hooping. I feel it alters and heightens Consciousness; outward spiraling to accompanying the internal spiraling, another visual representation of the beautiful mathematical archetypes I perceive to have a high probability of underlying all life I perceive. I feel all is integrated, and maybe this brought me to poi. Namaste.
Tell us about your life outside of fire / glow arts...
I spend my days in a variety of places. I travel around currently, trying to sustain myself doing what I love. I attend festivals and set up my creations. I have original paintings, handmade duck tape bags, and handmade hula hoops. I also will hoop or play music for tips if the time seems right. I play flute, guitar, and drums primarily. I do not have a hand drum with me on my travels, and most certainly don't get a fraction of the time I would like to play a drum set. I didn't bring a flute along either, but I do have a guitar. I have recently began to rekindle my relationship with this instrument and am enjoying the process. I love to paint and it has been a huge part of my life for years now. I love to have conversations that leave you high and feeling immersed in bliss. I love to be in nature. I love getting lot in trance dance. I love being and am internally grateful for everything I feel and perceive of Self. I am always open to new beautiful facets of Being to interact with, so please contact me or visit my website to see some of my art. My recent work is not currently on there, but it will be as soon as I get a chance to upload it. my personal email is gtines23@gmail.com. Namaste, intelligent jewels.

When do you think you'll be in town again, and how much do you charge for your LED hoops?!

Hey!
Thank you for your kind words about my music, i'm glad it gets you high. that makes smile:-)
I have lots of new Ambient tracks coming soon with some drum beats i have been working on for a while. i am just trying to find a female choir of some kind to harmonise.

What festivals/events should i look out for in america?

i like your philosophy of spinning, its quite similar to mine :-)
Get some of your work on the fire garden and share it with us all

What can I say? I felt like it would've been a crime to not start hooping! Lol, I'm so glad you're on here too - do you know if this site is also run by SaFire? Her hooping community site is exactly the same as the fire garden! Anyway, I might have a gig (tribal belly dancing and poi fusion) during the time of the festival you mentioned, April 13, but it's tentative, so I'll let you know! I still have your number, that is if you haven't changed it :). Man, this is great - I'm glad you started poi too! I'm teaching a workshop soon and I have an inkling I'll be teaching hooping soon too, I feel so bad for my poi though, I've neglected them quite significantly since I started hooping :(. Call me when you come to Memphis!

Much love,
Nadia

Cant say I've ever been to any real event, but I wouldn't mind changing that and I'd definitely let you know how it went!

Thanks Gina. I really love seeing poi with live music. The energy we can build is quite strong and very useful in creating transformation. It's alchemy. :)

Peace,
Martin
