I am Jai or often known as Salyc. I am a fire eater and flesher. My beautiful daughter is a poi spinner and has been since she was 5, burning at age 9 for the 1st time.
Because of her I started American Fire Artists, which is a liability insurance…

- My daughter has been involved for 7 years since Age 5.
- Tell us about your life outside of fire / glow arts...
- I started an insurance company for performers to help my daughter. There was only one company in the US handling liability for fire performers, so I found an underwriter and started American Fire Artists.
Other than that I am a mother, an accountant, a knitter/crocheter, and have a new found interest in growing organics.
