Well, i just tried to find the group on meetup, and it appears that the group may now be officially defunct. Oh well, will just have to keep on trying here or maybe try to start one up on meetup in the future.
Actually, right now the only people we have bee able to connect with have been ourselves (me, Sheri, and Brandy). We are trying to get connected with more area people, hence joining up here. Looks like I need to get myself to meetup.com and join a group! Maybe we can do our part to liven it back up.

How did you first get into fire / glow arts, and how long have you been involved?
About: Orchidmoon is a visual and performing artist who's specialty lies in fire dancing with poi and staff. The use of LED lights and luminescence such as UV reactive materials serve best for club spinning. Other unique styles of dancing are inspired from around the world, fused with a modern approach and combined with Chinese silks and parasol dancing, Geisha fan dancing, gymnastics ribbons, as well as veil and flag poi. Fusion dance expression combines modern, lyrical, asian, tribal and belly dance styles. Ancient ritual dance meets modern electronica.
Previous performance collaborations with: Obsidian Butterfly, Sacramento Fire Spinning Music & Dance Group, musician Chebi Sabbah and Dj's Tranzatma, Janaka, Karsh Kale of San Francisco, and Dj Bryan Hawk of Sacramento, Jaela of Equilibrium, and under Amy Sigil of Unmata/Verbatim. I'm more of a 'gypsey', preferring to collaborate and perform with other various talented performers and groups rather than stay in one place or in one troupe.
(Began dancing in 1983 and began fire/LED dancing/spinning in 2007)
