Your first time with fire is an experience totally unique to you.
I did fire for the first time last year, after spinning for 5 years.
So really, go for it whenever you feel comfortable and confident in your spinning. If tomorrow you have that level…
I totally have.
My camera can shoot at 300fps, so everything shows up at 1/10th the normal speed.
I've used this feature to work out the kinks in some of the newer tech ideas I play around with. It really does help. :P
How did you first get into fire / glow arts, and how long have you been involved?
I saw someone spinning in the park when I was about 12 years old, but I never had the courage to ask him what it was he was doing. Then one day I found everything I needed online and have been spinning since.
So it's been a good 6 years, going on 7. :)
Tell us about your life outside of fire / glow arts...
Aspiring musician with a love for industrial/ambient/idm music, I used to be an avid photographer - but in the last 2 years I've really slowed down. I'm really passionate about the arts, and am studying cinematography.
Lota stuf on flowtoys; not sure where2start. Been yrs since glowstix on string, but been messin w/ old pair of flag poi(not sure weight). Since this'll proly snowball into fire poi I figure I want sumthin that best simulates the weight..do u kno the average poi head weight? I seen a pair of led poi (balls not crystals) on chain w/ 2finger loop..but I'm wonderin how effective led toys are in learning fire poi. I figure when I wanna start I'll get a suitable pair of fire poi & practice unlit. What would u recommend?
