How did you first get into fire / glow arts, and how long have you been involved?

a friend intro me into it at my first rave that he brought me to instanly wanted to learn how to do it he taught me the ropes and is still teaching me and every time i learn a new move and get proud he has to show me up with a biger and better one this studient will never surpass the teacher lol

Tell us about your life outside of fire / glow arts...

right now my life out of poi is well boring and un eventfull i think if it wasnt for poi i would go crazy

Try watching people's arms rather than the poi, then replicate it with your hands first without the poi, then with one poi, then with just the other poi, and once you can do all three of these and visualise at the same time what the other poi should look like, try it with the other one. I've been teaching some of my friends and they seem to find it easiest to learn the 2 beat both ways and then put one after the other. I can't speak for glowstrings, as I gather it's quite different to poi, and I haven't had a chance to try out the ones I got off homeofpoi yet!

There's a tut for the 2 beat. Seems to cover basic same time crossing too.
